The Longrow 21 year old limited-edition release is a double distilled, heavily peated single malt from Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. Produced initially to see if a peated whisky could be produced in Campletown - I think we can safely say, it can.
The whisky itself is matured in sherry casks and also in bourbon casks. Only 3,600 bottles of the complex single malt have been produced this year. The flavour profile is intense; smoked ham, pine needles, pepper, spices, fennel and prune - deeply flavoured and utterly delicious.
