Tipa - Triple IPA
Essentially higher strength versions of a single IPA with an alcoholic strength of between 7.5 and 9% for a double and approx. 10% for a triple. Both styles offer the same qualities as a single IPA but with greater hop intensity (higher hopping rates) more body and potentially more sweetness. While hazy beers currently permeate other beer styles (pales and IPA’s) double and triple IPAs perhaps have the strongest tie to the New England format. Example: Cloudwater Core DIPA and many other one-off releases from this brewery (and a lot of other breweries too)
