Found in the middle of the Odenburg Mountains in Neckenmarkt lies the Kolfok winery - loosely translating to a person who 'defies convention' - appropriate for minimal intervention practising wine maker Stefan Wellanschitz.
A beautiful representation of Austrian Gruner Veltliner - this wine has a vibrant acidity, an almost petrol like touch (a tasty one!), with lemon peel, grapefruit and candied apricot on the nose. The Chardonnay provides a good balance to the body filling it out, and the Muscat rounds off the finish with some ripe yellow plum.
