Originally Macallan whiskies were aged solely in Sherry casks imported from Jerez in southern Spain, now they also use Bourbon seasoned casks.
Naturally couloured from the sherry casks this full bodied whisky has notes of rasins and ginger with a palate of toasted oak and a hint of orange zest and a long finish of dried fruits
