Maison Herout - Micro Cuvee No 5 - Cider
Maison Herout has been producing cider on the Cotentin Peninsula in Normandy since the 1940s. It is the most recent Cidre AOC, Cotentin AOC,having been recognised in 2016. Cidermaker Marie-Agnes Herout was awarded Le Croix de Chevalier for her tireless work getting the AOC recognised.
This Micro Cuvee Number 1 is pressed from René Martin (acidulous variety) and bitter varieties. This is a tart, very dry style of cider with light fizz. It's reminiscent of Basque and Spanish dry ciders. Fresh with subtle aromas of apple.
Naturally fermented and organically grown Rouge de Cantepie and a few others mixed in.
