Augustiner - Pils
This is a great example of a German Pilsner or just simply 'Pils' which is more commonly used in Germany so as to differentiate and also show respect to the Czech style of Pilsner.
First brewed in Germany in the early 1870s, this style of beer along with the original Czech Pilsner is the ancestor of most of the widely produced beer styles today.
Straw to light gold in colour with a creamy, long lasting white head with aromas of sweet, rich honey malts and distinctive floral, spicy hop notes.
This Pils is light bodied, floral, clean and refreshing with a grainy sweet malt character and crisp dry finish.
