This 12 Year old single malt is from the renowned Glenfarclas Distillery. Glenfarclas has been producing whisky for more than 180 years in the heart of the Speyside region in Scotland.
Glenfarclas was founded in 1836 and has been family owned and operated ever since. It is well known for its commitment to traditonal whisky-making methods and its refusal to use modern technology in the process. They have their own floor maltings and still use traditional Scottish peat to dry the malted barley.
Glenfarclas 12 is aged in a combination of European and American oak casks that have previously held sherry. This helps to give Glenfarclas whiskies their signature deep amber colour and complex flavour profile.
On the nose, Glenfarclas 12 Year Old Single Malt has notes of honey, definite sherry complexity and spices. The palate has a delicious sweetness, dried fruit and a warming long finish with a whiff of smoke.
This is a classic Speyside whisky and an excellent choice for any whisky lover.
