Traditional Ale

Broadly used to describe a wide variety of traditional beer such as Best Bitter, Dark Mild, Golden Ale as well as Pale Ale, Porter and much more. In general though it also refers stylistically to beers (or ales) which are perhaps less hop forward, have lower carbonation levels and are more likely to be sold in bottle or on cask at the pub.
