Founder Julian Barcello arrived in the Dominican Republic from his home in Spain in 1929 with the determination to make the worlds best rum. He developed the business by experimenting with lots of different recipes and began to find some success and acclaim. Nowadays Barcelo is the worlds 4th largest exporter of rum - with over 50 countries able to enjoy these excellent rums.
Barcelo Imperial Rum is a multiple award winner for good reason. Selecting only the very finest sugar cane, the rum is then aged from 4 to 10 years.
Aromas of butter cream, dried cherries, intense vanilla and flavours of pineapple jam, stewed apple and caramelised walnuts - this is an excellent rum with great depth and balance.
