Awatere River - Pinot Gris
Awatere River are a Marlborough based vineyard producing premium quality wines from a limited production of grapes. The surrounding area really contributes to the top quality of the wine - the glaciers feed the Awatere River and provide amazingly fresh water to work with. They produce a small selection of wines - a Pinot Gris, a Sauvignon, a Rose, a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir.

A rich and silky wine offering generous spice with hints of ripe pear and white peach. The soft acidity gives a concentration of richness on the palate following through to a lightly creamy textured finish. This is an elegant wine which has balance and power and will continue to age in a cellar for up to five years.
