Greek Wine is a taste of sunshine. Greece's sunny climate is perfect for growing grapes, meaning they tend to be fruity, aromatic, and often have a lovely acidity. You'll find a wide range of styles, from crisp white wines to rich, full-bodied red wines.

The climate is warm and dry, producing concentrated wines that have influenced characteristics from the salty sea air and the volcanic soils.

Alongside their wine, Greek cuisine is full of fresh flavours. The bright acidity of many Greek white wines cuts through rich, oily dishes like grilled fish or feta cheese, and pair perfectly. Red wines, especially those with good acidity, pair well with grilled meats and hearty stews.

Greece has a variety of wine regions, each with its own unique character that boast exquisite wines. Famous wine regions include;

Santorini, known for its volcanic soils and unique Assyrtiko-based wines.

Crete produces full-bodied red wines and aromatic white wines.

Nemea is famous for its Agiorgitiko-based reds.

Naoussa is home to the Xinomavro grape and its age-worthy red wines.
