Lebanon
Admittedly, Lebanon is not everyone’s first thought when thinking about winemaking. However, this country has a long tradition with winemaking - most notably the Chateau Musar wines created here which are concentrated in flavour, high in acidity and have the ability to age for decades, creating aromatic blends that are reminiscent of exotic Bordeaux. The country has managed to avoid the major diseases that have demolished other countries' vines in the past whilst succeeding in growing quality fruit in arid conditions.
