Lager & Pilsner
Lager fermentation takes place at the bottom of the fermentation tank, not at the top like an ale and takes place at a much lower temperature. Largely around 5% in alcoholic content there are many different styles. From the classic and refined German style Helles lagers, to slightly more floral led crisp Pilsners as well as more malty darker offerings like Dunkels and Schwarzbiers. Then there’s Kolsch style beers from Cologne, smoky Rauchbiers, unfiltered Kellerbiers and much more
