Rothaus - Marzen 50cl Bottles
The Rothaus brewery is found in the German Black Forest by an Abbot of a monastery, until it became state owned years later. It creates traditional style lagers that are known to be some of the best in the world.
Traditionally March was the last month you could brew this style of lager due to the need for cooler weather for fermentation.
This light coloured Marzen has aromas of freshly baked bread and light herbs with a twist of citrus from the aromatic hops of Tettnang and Hallertau. The taste is initially soft but full bodied and biscuity with a light carbonation. It finishes with a light hoppy bitterness and a dry herbal aftertaste.
