Masciarelli always delivers big, fresh eminently drinkable wines. Although he died in 2008 the estate continues to make wine in his style using old fashioned methods. The estate was one of the first to use oak ageing on the Montepulciano grape and the small quantities of wine produced has gained a cult like following.
The grapes for this wine are sourced from 30 year old vines to create the perfect steak wine, big and bold with subtle tannins and flavours of dark fruits, truffles and an earthy minerality.
