A Growers touch focuses on the production of more traditional varietals, all grown locally to the producer out of the riverina in New South Wales and by farmers who they have worked with for two decades. The label offers credit to the farmers responsible for growing the grapes. It showcases local Australian grapes and places emphasis on the importance of 'terroir'.
This is an impressive Durif with aromas of sweet berry fruits of blueberry and mulberry backed by oak, displaying vanillin and coconut with hints of spice. The palate is classic Durif; a complex mix of dark fruits, blue black and mulberry. The renowned tannin structure of the durif is then complemented by the oak which succeeds in tying everything together. A triumph.
