As the name suggests, this wine from Australias famed Barossa Valley is a 50/50 blend of Monastrell and Shiraz. Made by two friends Matt “Gantos” Gant and John “JR” Retsas who enjoy making exciting wines for drinking – not just appreciating…. This wine will age for 5-7 years if you can wait that long. It’s structured fabulously savory and crammed full of spicey peppery flavours. Great for barbecues, or any fully-flavoured dishes.
Fun Fact: Monastrell is also known as Mouvedre and Shiraz is also known as Syrah.
