This is a great example of entry-level skin contact wine. From the region of Molise on the eastern Adriatic coast, Italy's youngest but least known region - it used to be part of Abruzzo but split from it in 1963.
A short fermentation on the skins gives this blend of Falanghina and Fiano a golden hue. The wine is unfiltered so please expect haze in the glass - this is perfectly normal.
The estate at Fattoria di Vaira is one of the largest farms following strict biodynamic principles in Italy, and alongside the carefully cultivated vines they also grow a vast array of vegetables, grains and cereals. They also produce award winning fresh cheeses, olive oils and honey.
