A well deserved award winner at multiple events, Fair Drinks created their business with strong ethical and eco credentials at the forefront of what they do. Their concept of fair-trade extends to sourcing all their ingredients ethically and sustainably. All the ingredients are taken to world famous production house Maison Rene Laclie in the Cognac region in the south western region of France where production of exotic spirit making has taken place for 5 generations.
Fair Quinoa Vodka uses Bolivian quinoa seeds in its production - this is an unusual thing to do as most vodkas are made with wheat, potato etc, but the fact is vodka can be made with any fermentable food-stuff - look at Black Cow Vodka, its made with the left over whey from cheese production. Very few distilleries are using quinoa, but we love the taste of this and we think it may well catch on, the use of quinoa makes this vodka gluten free too as a bonus for any gluten intolerent vodka drinkers.
The flavour profile, quinoa gives the vodka an earthy nutty (think cashew) quality, clean, warm and smooth. Lovely.
