The stunning hills of Piedmont is the location for this historic distillery. It is now protected under UNESCO rules in order to preserve not only the natural beauty of the land but also the incredibly special herbs and botanicals that have been found there for generations and cannot be found growning anywhere else in the world.
The original company was founded in 1890 and was revived by friends - all bartenders looking for quality ingredients for blending into cocktails; when they met the great grandson of the founder, master distiller Carlo Quglia - the idea began to form a new company which would revive and specialise in some of the Italian classic bitters and vermouths which were so popular in the 18th - 19th century.
Vermouth del Professore has been produced using Muscat wine, an infusion of 13 spices in neutral spirit and cane sugar to recreate the classic Italian vermouth so popular around the world in the 18th century. Aromatic and medicinal, drink this Italian style - as a ready to drink aperitif.
