Chateau Musar is world renowned for producing Bordeaux style red and white wines with their own unique twist. The wines are produced with minimum intervention and the vineyards where certified organic in 2006. The red wines are unfiltered and unfined thereby being suitable for vegans. Due to the nature of these wines, especially those over a decade old, the wine should be stored upright the night before service and then decanted a couple of hours before drinking.
This vintage is a blend of Viognier, Vermintino, and Chardonnay (40%, 30%, 30%), the Vermintino well suited to the Mediterranean climate gives a minerality and salinity to the buttery Chardonnay and aromatic Viognier.
It is lemon coloured with a nose of pears, jasmine, and limes with a palate of tropical fruits, lemon zest, quince and a hint of the sea. Fresh and balanced acidity with a long finish. Drink now or keep for a year or two.
