Can Sumoi. A long considered meeting of friends, Pepe Raventos and Francesc Escala. The estate of 400 hectares is situated at an altitude of 600 metres in the Penedès. 30 hectares of old Montonega, Xarel-lo and Sumoll vines produce the grapes for their selection of wines. Organically farmed without irrigation and naturally vinified, without filtration, stabilization or additives the wines produced are light in alcohol and have bracing acidity.
Naturally fermented in stainless steel tanks to produce a clean, crisp wine. A typical Xarel-Lo with apple, pears and a hint of salinity. The spontaneous malolactic fermentation gives a suggestion of butter alongside a crisp, dry finish. Clearly natural, great with seafood and sushi.
