Two Masters of Wine, Fergal Tynan and Giles Cooke travelled Spain to find of the best undiscovered wines in the country. These are handmade wines from cooperatives in the La Mancha region. With farmers from Cuenca, grapes are organically grown from the hard working bush vines. Chemicals have never been used in these traditional vineyards.
Region: La Mancha
Grape Variety: 80% Tempranillo, 20% Syrah
Not only is this wine organic it also vegan which at this price is great value. The use of ripe fruit and modern wine making methods without any oak lead to a rich, lusciuos wine with aromas and flavours of ripe red fruits and blackcurrants. It has a hint of spice from the Syrah on the finish and pairs fantastically with BBQ and other grilled meats.
