Comprising of 20 hectares, in the top sites of the region, Domaine Billaud-Simon characteristically does not use oak - with an exception for the premier cru which is vinified entirely in oak.
Chablis is made using the Chardonnay grape variety and for those who are not aware, this wine is also known "white burgundy" - the ultimate French white wine (in my opinion).
The 2018 was a superb year and the wines are showing potential for long ageing. There is a beautiful white golden hue in the glass and on the palate; ripe peach, citrus and brioche. The wine is fresh and elegant with a softness on the mouthfeel. This wine is a triumph.
