Founder Julian Barcelo arrived in the Dominican Republic from his home in Spain in 1929 with the determination to make the worlds best rum. He developed the business by experimenting with lots of different recipes and began to find some success and acclaim. Nowadays Barcelo is the worlds 4th largest exporter of rum - with over 50 countries able to enjoy these excellent rums.
The rum has been filtered to remove the colour - but not the flavour! lovely spice, and rich caramel.
