This new whisky from the Hebrides is lightly peated and aged in first fill Rye Whiskey, Chinkapin oak and Bordeaux red wine casks. What a trio! It's the first time this triplet of barrels has been used in Scotch production and so it's a bit of a rarity. Lightly smoked, savoury black pepper vanilla and sandalwood combine to make a fine whisky with a touch of saltiness too.
