Etsu Gin (Etsu means joy in Japanese) comes all the way from Japan and from Hoikkaido Island which is the Northernmost and least inhabited of the four islands off Japan. It has been made by the Asahikawa Distillery using a secret recipe and using waters from the Taisetsu mountain range before filtering through charcoal.
This wonderfully (joyous even) floral expression features a selection of botanicals from Japan, including sansho pepper, tea leaves and yuzu. Rather excellent in a G&T, but can also be simply sipped over ice with a sprig of mint.
