Abruzzo
A truly beautiful place. If you can picture where Rome is – Abruzzo is on the opposite side of the country on the Adriatic in the middle -lower section of the boot. Surrounded by mountains but with glorious stretches of beach – it’s a great place for a holiday. The most famous wine of this region is of course Montipulciano d’ Abruzzo. This is a red wine and is made with the Montipulciano grape variety. Most of the wines are produced by co-operatives, but not all.
